The third "Park Inn Charity Golf Cup" was held on October 11, 2008 under the motto "golf can help". The Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz hosted the evening gala event, which included an award ceremony and a prize drawing. The 90-euro per person entry fee included green fee, catering during the match, a cocktail reception, the gala dinner event emceed by Dr. Claus-Erich Boetzkes (ARD television news anchorman) at the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz, and VIP shuttle transfer to and from the 18-hole Arnold Palmer Golf Course in Bad Saarow near Berlin. "As in every year, the proceeds from the golf tournament go entirely to the Michael Stich Foundation in support of children who are suffering from AIDS or are HIV positive", explains Thomas Hattenberger, director at the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz.
