Since May 14, 2009 the capital city has one more spectacular attraction: Base Flying, where bold participants plunge vertically to the ground from the 125-meter high Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz in a controlled fall, secured by a special winch rappel system commonly used by stuntmen, to the amazement of spectators. As the first of its kind in Europe, the Munich-based event agency Jochen Schweizer® installed the steel construction on the roof the four-star superior hotel, inviting participants to experience the thrill though June 30, 2009 daily (after that, only on certain weekends). "Since our successful premiere day, more than 250 "base flyers" have dared to take the plunge," explained Thomas Hattenberger, General Manager of the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz. "This is a successful continuation of our previous open-air events such as "House Running" or the "Sky Dinner", and we are proud to cooperate once again with our partner, Jochen Schweizer, to create such a sensational event in Berlin," Hattenberger continues.
Base Flying from the Park Inn Berlin-Alexanderplatz can be booked at http://www.jochen-schweizer.de/. For further informations pleas call 01805 606088.
