Perfect Location

This was our second stay in Berlin and when I booked I wanted something ultra-easy to get to from the airport. This couldn't have been easier. 22 minutes on the Airport Express and the hotel is straight across from Alexanderplatz S-Bahn station. We got checked in immediately and we were hitting the town within minutes. We didn't book breakfast but it was easy to stock up in the large department store opposite the hotel. The room itself is pretty small but more than adequate. Plenty of space to put your clothes away. Bit of a strange setup with the bath and shower being in the middle of the room but not a big problem. We ventured up on the roof to see the sunset one evening. It's a gorgeous view but I don't know if I'd pay the 3 euros again - added to the 4 euros per beer I though it was a bit of a rip-off, especially when the terrace itself didn't look anywhere near as nice as the photos which advertised it...and it was baltic up there!!!
All in all we had a great experience with this hotel and the location was second to none with the whole of Berlin a few steps away from the door due to the excellent transport they have in city.

Fantastic deal, central, modern hotel

Booked this hotel through hotel reservation service (hrs.de) and got a very good deal. The hotel is an old building but has been renovated so that the rooms are very modern and smart. There are good views across the city, and it is a very good location. I preferred being based at the centre of Alexanderplatz because it is so close to the older areas of Berlin. Easy walking distance to the Unter den Linden area with it's museums, cathedral and of course the Brandenburg gate and Reichstag. It is also not far to Hackescher Markt and the Tiergarten.
From the Berlin hauptbahnhof either take the city S-bahn trains to alexanderplatz, or walk along the river to Alexanderplatz.
The hotel was very neat and clean, relatively busy and the rooms were well looked after. There wasn't too much noise from the city, and the room was spacious and smart.
Definitely recommended for people who prefer to stay in larger hotels or chains and want a predictable base for their visit to Germany's capital.

Excellent for business and vacationing travelers

Just returned from a business trip to Berlin. I have stayed at other hotels in the city including the Radisson BLU and have to rank the The Park Inn right up there among the best in the city. I like the simple setup of the room with every amenity I needed. From the high-speed internet connection at my desk to the stocked mini bar and LCD tv; the room was very nice. The convenience of the hotel was another big factor. It was extremely easy to get to from the Berlin Tegel airport. I jumped on the TXL bus outside of the main terminal and the bus stops right next to the hotel at Alexanderplatz. I chose the bus because I had some extra time and it offered me more views of the city instead of a direct taxi ride. The bus ride only costs 5 euro roundtrip. I highly recommend taking the bus to get downtown from the airport.
Being in Alexanderplatz, there were no shortages of restaurants to choose from. Berlin is a great walking city, but has so many public transportation options and several depart right next to the Park Inn.
I will stay at the Park Inn again when I visit Berlin. I did not have to pay as much as I did to stay at other hotels in Berlin without sacrificing any of the luxury or convenience.
My only complaint about the hotel is that the lobby tends to get filled quickly with bus loads of travelers so sometimes it makes it difficult navigating yourself to the room elevators.
