Uni-Korea Art Exhibition – From Baekdu to Halla

Korean Exhibition for the 25th Anniversary of the German Reunification

On the evening of the 2nd of October, an exhibition of modern art from North Korea and South Korea was opened with a private viewing at the art place berlin, the forum for modern art at the Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz. „The occasion for this exhibition in Berlin is the 25th Anniversary of the German reunification, an anniversary which also gives Koreans hope that they will overcome their separation. We look forward to displaying this interesting exhibition at our hotels until the 15th of November“, explains Jürgen Gangl, General Manager of the Park Inn Berlin Alexanderplatz. The South Korean organisation „NANUM the World Peace Cultural Festival“ initiated with the title „Uni-Korea Art Exhibition“ a series of exhibitions in Seoul (South Korea), Shenyang (China), Berlin, New York and Pyongyang (North Korea). North Korean and South Korean artists campaign for overcoming the separation of the Koreas with their impressive paintings. The title ‚From Baekdu to Halla‘ makes it clear that the exhibition represents all of Korea, from Mt. Baekdu in the North on the Chinese border to Mt. Halla on Jeju Island in south. The importance of this to Koreans is shown by numerous statements, which were made in relation to the exhibition project. Berlin is exactly the right place, and the Anniversary of the German Reunification is exactly the right moment for this exhibition. ART PLACE BERLIN
