Alexanderplatz On 27. November the Christmas market at Alexanderplatz open with about 100 chalets, an ice rink and the biggest Christmas pyramid of Europe. Tradesman offering Christmas delicacies and handmade products. Over 5.000 lights ablaze the pyramid, where you will be able to enjoy a delicious mulled wine and original “Thüringer Rostbratwurst” overlooking the entire Christmas market. Opening hours from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Gendarmenmarkt Enjoy a very special atmosphere at one of the most beatiful and historical places of Berlin, the Gendarmenmarkt, where the traditional Christmas market “Weihnachtszauber” has its traditional home. Directly in front of the French Dom many artisans present and offering individual products. Definitvely a great orpportunity to buy some nice Christmas gifts, either to treat yourself or for your loved ones. The entrance fee of 1€ per person will be donate to a charity project, so besides experiencing the experience the special atmosphere of this Christmas market you will be supporting a social project in Berlin! When: 27. November until 31. December 2017 Opening hours: daily 11:00 a.m. -10:00 p.m. Entrance fee: 1 Euro, Kids free of charge “Berliner Weihnachtszeit” Between the red town hall and the famous tv tower, this Christmas market consist of little traditional alleys with many stands and little shops. If you like to see the monument on 50 meter, do not miss a ride on the panorama Ferris wheel. Furthermore you can use the ice rink with around 600m² circled the “Neptunbrunnen”. Definitive a big fun for the young as the older ones. “Wintertraum” Up to 3 million visitors annually are visiting the Christmas fairground next to the shopping center Alexa. Besides many stands you can take a roller coaster ride at “wilde Maus” or the free fall tower. “Lucia-Weihnachtmarkt” Experience the romantic atmosphere at the Christmas market at the Kulturbrauerei in the scene district Prenzlauer Berg. The Scandinavian Chistmas market have a very special industrial charm and sensual character of the architecture from the 19. century. The young visitors can ride the chairoplane or have fun with the knight´s castle. Take a break from daily life, relax and enjoy the particular atmosphere. And last but nit least, we do recommend the traditional Christmas market at the historic old town of Spandau, which easily reachable with the S5 directly from the train station Alexanderplatz.
